I was thinking to get a Lucent Avaya Card, that should come with a Hermes chipset. I heard that drivers are already on the kernel, and patching you also should be able to get the card in monitor and master mode.

Is there a new release of the driver that does not need to be patched to get monitor and master mode working?



I'm basically trading my Atheros for a Hermes, is it really a good deal?
