Truer words were never spoken. Define what tasks are priority, which are moderate, and those that are "it would be nice", and then get the device which best meets your needs in that order.

Here's a prime example: An acquaintance recently got a popular email device. She loves it, as she constantly keeps in touch with other people via email. This person convinced another woman (also an acquaintance) to get a the same model device. The second woman hardly uses email or text messaging, has a need to carry Word documents around with her, and wants to take notes at meetings. When the second person asked me why she couldn't do that on her wonderful new device, my response was "Because it isn't designed to do those things. You need a PDA." This second person is now stuck with a device that she has no real need for because she bought the device before defining what she wanted to do first.
