I have an S-10 pickup with a manual transmission and was considering getting one, but the manual shifter issue has kept me from making the jump. Also, is there still room for a passenger to sit comfortably with the Jotto in place? How sturdy is it? I can shift comfortably with where I mounted it in the vehicle. It's fairly sturdy for every day driving, but if you're off roading it, I would probably invest in their diagonal brace.
As for a passenger, if you mount it where I did, the passenger could have a problem sitting because of the angle of the swing arm. If you were to mount it directly onto the floor and not the 'hump' then it they'd probably be more comfortable. When installing it, you really need two people, on person to hold it down and the other to sit in the seat and see how it feels..
