i just put redhat 7.2 on my 266mhz PI laptop (dual boot w/ windoze so i can run netstumbler) and it is a DOG! my machine only has 96MB ram and it just thrashes continuously.

i seem to remember the days when u could run linux on a 386. now it runs slower than Win2K w/ the same hardware! even boots slower.

anyone know what's a good lean & mean linux distro to use on wimpy hardware?
