I received my AirPCM 352 Card today. The card's antenna is very slim. The reason being: NO EXTERNAL ANTENNA PORT.
After installing the card I could not get it to work or connect to my Linksys AP. After much fiddling and reloading drivers I remembered that I had enabled MAC filtering on the AP. DUH! After adding the MAC ID of the 352 I was able to browse the Web and access my network.
The included client utility is great. More features and options than you can shake a stick at, including the ability to dial back RF power from 100 mW to 50, 30, 20, 5, and 1 mW outputs. This card sucks power at 100 mW RF - 600 mA of power draw at 5 volts according to the specs.
Receive characteristics of the this card seem fantastic. I went to a spot in my house where my ORiNOCO card usually has a hard time connecting. Not a problem with the 352. I cranked back the RF output to 5 mW and was able to keep surfing the web and play streaming audio.
Finally, I fired up Netstumber. No Wireless Card Found.
Pros: Svelte Package, Great Client Utility, High RF output, sensitive receive, variable RF output
Cons: No External Antenna Connector, Does not work with Netstumbler
