I'm thinking he's referring to an Enterasys adapter, not router (although some clarification on his behalf would be helpful as he does contradict himself).
If that is the case then I also ran into a similar issue with the Enterasys I recieved last week in that Windows detects it, however neither ns, nor WZC can see any networks with it (although my 8420 can see networks when its plugged in at the same time) and if I can find a solution I will post it. I've seen a few people saying it is an issue with the newer firmwares and drivers, at least under linux.
