I also noticed this in /var/log/messages

Aug 2 14:20:48 linux kernel: ath0 (WE) : Buffer for request SIOCGIWPRIV too small (32<64)
Aug 2 14:20:50 linux kernel: device ath0 left promiscuous mode

Not sure if it is relevant or not.
