Hey, I've been posting smack and irreverent information on here all day and giving Streaker69 a headache while using IE at the same time.
Did I mention I received an amp in the mail Friday? It's the indoor version, 2nd one on FAB-Corp's amp page, 18 dB gain pre-amp. I did a short test Friday. I drove to a vacant field surrounded by houses. While using Kismet in a stationary position, and a Mobile Mark 5 dB Mini-Mag Omni on the roof of the 4Runner, I started a log and let it run for 1 minute without the amp. I picked up 7 AP's. I did the same test again with the amp and picked up 58 AP's.
I'm stoked about testing it out but I've been working all weekend. In fact I'm working right now.
Can't take this mission critical stuff down when the users are on it. Such is the life of an admin.
Note to tards: NEVER use an amp unless you KNOW the card is in MONITOR mode.
