Well for one reason is you may change the impedence and thus the SWR of the circuit. This could be bad and worst case damage the final stage of the transmitter, best case you get a crappy signal. The test point is the "safest" place as it was most likely used during the "bed of nails" testing of the card. Since your card doesn't have a U.Fl/hirose this Test point was probably used instead.
