But if the data is raw uncompressed data, binary/ascii it should compress. I wouldn't be surprised to see 6 to 1 or better results.

Well, ya see, I seem to recall already asking Render or Thorn this question and I believed that they had already tried to compress them and found they wouldn't compress.
Of course you could always use the theory that a dude around here that we used to call Flounder had.
He would Zip, then RAR, then ARJ a file because that 'ensured' maximum compression, of course he never realized that the file got bigger each time he added another layer of compression.
