I asked about the LiveCD because my dad is an MS fanatic who only has 1 non-microsoft program on his PC. Whenever I talk about Linux, he forecasts doom for my comp

There are live CDs such as Auditor Security Collection that have Kismet on them already. Others include WHAX (WHAX and Auditor are combining into BackTrack), SLAX, and Knoppix STD (Security Tools Distribution).
