I have a 3870, and God knows it has more than it's fare share of problems, But I have never had it fail or freeze up while running Mini-NetStumbler!
And that is probably the only program I can say that about. No... I did think of one other program I've got, a beta, that I also never had any problems with.
I'm using the dual slot PCMCIA sleeve, by the way. But for me the cradle is the way to go. The 3870 sits up, the range is more than I can ask for, and untill NetStumbler supports dual cards in scan mode, I'll be using my iPAQ. Ran all day yesterday without a freeze up.
