Hmm. There have been several cases where the fetus was treated legally as a 'person,' resulting in manslaughter and/or felony murder charges against drivers of vehicles, and perps involved in assaults.
They can now handle 'premies' that are as short as 4 months in gestation, yet you can still get a so called 'safe and legal' abortion of said fetus.
I still think in order to pickup your welfare check, you should have to show proof of (reversible) sterilization.
