Here is the key difference:

COMPATIBILITY means someone got NS to work with that particular card and their particular computer. It does not imply that SNR works. In fact, it will not. There are many cards that are compatible but that really doesn't mean much.

SUPPORTED means the card is designed to work with NS and give accurate SNR. As I stated above, the ORiNOCO Gold Classic (WD-8410) is the only supported card.
