I just have a 15" sony Vaio laptop with a USB GPS and the internal 802.11 adapter in my backpack as I commute by bicycle.
In the last week I have mapped out quite a bit of my neighborhood. It seems to help with the triangulation if I bicycle up and down each sidewalk and alley.
