Damn - well, I did not try the 'r' trick. Just made sure that gpsd was running and then took off. Uploaded the .xml file to WIGL and 1091 newly discovered networks but zero GPS again. Sounds like a project for this weekend when I can get some time outside.
Update: GPS is not working with any of three BT2 installations. GSPD is running but when I telnet to port 2947 and type 'r' I get GPSD, R0 and then type r again and get GPSD, R1 ..
Back to the drawing boards.
