I'd think that anyone smart enough to run OpenWRT is going to be smart enough to have their router proper configured.
It seems as though they're talking about a worm that's able to crack WEP/wpa, and bruteforce passwords, that's gonna be a mighty big worm and an awful lot of processing power.
