If you call picking the reading with the strongest signal level, calculating.. then yes that's correct.

Wigle on the other hand uses some sort of Voodoo numeric masturbation to calculate positions, being data uploaded doesn't meet the requirements for true triangulation. (antenna gain, signal bearing)

Fixed.

There I understand it much better now.
