My Ipaq stumbling setup

I find this setup a lot easier to carry around than the big laptop and power inverter.

hardware is:

Ipaq 3835
Old dual-PCCard sleeve
Orinoco Silver card in inner slot
Toshiba 2Gb PCcad hard drive in outer slot
Belkin USB+Serial hotsync cable
Belkin Car power adapter (actually from another belkin hotsync cable, but it works really well with this one)
slimline male-male gender changer
null-modem adapter
slimline male-male gender changer
Magellan PC interface cable
Magellan Sportrak Map GPS receiver

Using the power adapter while running the GPS over the hotsync cable works great! I think my next purchase will be the Magellan PC-interface cable with the car power adapter built in, so I don't have to worry about the batteries in the Sportrak. (I'm getting about 15hours of runtime out of 2 AAs anyways)

I'll bet this setup would work with the Delorme tripmate receiver, but I like having the scrolling map display on the Sportrak, and I can download the track to my laptop at home to see what streets I've covered!
