i went back to your (jimmy) original post where it said WRONG DRIVER. I hunted around in the config files and changed all the wavelan_cs to orinoco_cs and rebooted. (there is no daemon log in RH....that i found.)
still no luck after rebooting...kismet fires up but it doesn't, well, monitor, of course.
i went to www.securitytribe.com/orinoco.html to follow the directions there, but, umm, that is where the aggravation really started (compiling a kernel, etc)
re-installing RH 7.3 now to start all over.
details huh? how about lay man's terms... :P

Upon review, I'm pretty sure that the "make install" in orinoco-0.12 didn't work.
