Hello, my first post here.

Just started reading today.

To connect an external antenna, you should use a pigtail, if the antenna on your card will come off, correct?

I am just getting into this. There are several ISP's here, that offer broadband, but it costs like $700 set up and $70 a month for 512k speeds. Bogus.

I have been reading the forums for an hour now; not tons of specifically what I need. I have an AP, PCMCIA card in my laptop, what else do I need. Netstumbler? And where do I change the MAC address? At DOS prompt? Or is that for LINUX? And I need to put linux on my tiny hard drive now?
