the layout being better on the Socket card is not a small thing when you're on a pocketPC. Also, in talking to people who have been using it heavily (and comparing side by side) they seem to have a more difficult time logging into networks.

The symbol drivers do not seem to work with the Socket card, not vice versa. I've tested the former myself. Perhaps with a firmware change they would.

Both drivers are really unfortunate in their design, especially the way they handle WEP keys if you connect to several networks. From what I understand MS will be fixing that design in upcoming releases of the OS by moving that info into the OS where it should be (like XP) rather than in the card driver.
