That sucks..

I took it to mean that they HAD that information already w/ in the program..

So not only do I have to purcahse the software, but I have to drop a lot more money to obtain demographics?

Doh - Just searched again on mappoint's site... this was in the faq section...

Q. What kind of demographic data is included with MapPoint, and how can I obtain updates?

A. MapPoint ships with business-related demographic data provided by Claritas, Inc., (for the United States) and CompuSearch (for Canada). MapPoint 2002 demographic data includes populations, household sizes, household income, median population age, and population by age. It's broken down according to country, state, county, metropolitan area, ZIP Code, and census tract region.

From the Help tool in MapPoint, you can also link to Claritas, CompuSearch, and other affiliates for supplemental demographic variables and updates. You can acquire, import, and map these additional demographics for use in MapPoint.

MapPoint also enables users to import or link their own data from a wide variety of tabular data sources, including some versions of Access, Excel, Outlook contacts, delimited text, and most OLE databases and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) data sources.
