I can't find anywhere else for this to go. I am using kismet so here is as good as any.

i have a box with an orinoco and a 15db sector antenna pointed out my deck door. It faces the street and a bunch of other apartments.

A BGE truck was out front messing with the streetlight. When he pulled up I picked up probes for frmwlan SSID. I didn't think much of it, but it stopped sending probes when he left.

I am thinking that truck had wireless in it. Anyone else had any similar experiences? I am thinking of setting up an AP that accepts any SSID and doing traffic analysis on what I find.

What about a DHCP server that automatically port scans any machine that grabs an IP? Anyone seen anything like that?
