On Resco, PocketLanCE, etc.

My experience is that Resco's File Explorer is the only app that will show you a window with ALL PCs and their shared drives before you map onto them - thus making life a lot easier. With the other programs, you need to know beforehand where to point your mapped drive.

FE does this by ARPing the local subnet, and interrogating the live IPs it finds. It then shows the usual Windows network tree with PCs and drives, just click on the one you want to share, and you're done. If you click on a PC and then 'Share' it will map all available drives/folders on that PC.

Regarding this being available in PocketPC 2002 only, I don't know, I flashed my 3660 to PPC2002 before trying FE...

Just MHO,

Mother
