hi, well i had been using kismet for a couple of weeks and is really great, but i couldnt make that gpsdrive work with the gps i think that is working with kismet because it shows me a little icon of it int the map at the bottom.
well my config is p 266, 96 ram (in case is a hardware thing)
rh9 + orinoco silver (patched ok).
my gps is magellan 315 firmware 3.15 spanish language.
1) wich nmea version do u recomend 1.5 APA, 1.5xte or 2.1 gsa ?(2.1 selected)
2) is set to 4800
i think is a mistake from me because under windows works with ozi.
i do like this
log as root
#gpsd
then
#kismet_monitor -H
#su kismetuser
$kismet
open a new terminal
#gpsdrive (sql selected, all of them selected)
i use maps from
www.maporama.com mapbast o mapquest doesen't have Argentina @ street level
i see the kismet logo @ the bottom of gpsdrive windows but nothing happend
also when i chek the network information it tells me lat and long but only said 0.00000000 both
i have read in the rh+orinoco+kismet howto, that i should start first gpsdrive, and from there start gpsd, then close.
start kismet, then start again gpsdrive, tonigth i will try that.
