Holly crap, I have this EXACT setup. Same laptop and card!!

Works fine on my system, as for the sound took awhile to get it working at least in my mandrake 9.1 install, You have to go into the BIOS and turn off the quick boot.

You need to run the patched orinoco drivers before kismet will work.
