Thanks for the input. I'm going to try this in a few minutes. IIRC, the card was in at all times but, I did restart for other reasons at some point. I'm learning quite a bit about creating custom kernels as well. I'm running a dell truemobile 1150 with the 8.72 (i think) firmware but I have the utilities to change that. I also have a brand new orinoco b/g card from work I was going to try.
