Perhaps, I could see why someone would want to steal it, with $800 of gear in the bed. But I wouldn't take it on private property

MORE IDEAS

Helicoptor
(this would be a good "remote router relocator" lets say you were in a situation where you wanted to have internet access only for a short while, but you are behind an obstacle. put a small-form factor router on this baby and float it into a better position between your antenna and the desired target, leave it there for a few hours, then take off and "call her home")

Airplane/Glider
(downtown park would be a good place to use this... good for RF leakage surveys, only the GPS would be too heavy [find the lightest GPS] You can glide for hours because after you get the plane in the air, you turn the propeller off and just run on the radio batteries (4xAA) which can last 10 or more hours, [22-27mhz is a guess])

Monster Truck 4WD
(a real workhorse. it can haul several batteries along with the stumbling setup which might include Linux on a Sharp Zaurus)

Carpet Racer
(carpet, asphalt - high speed, designed for the short fast run can't think of where i might use this... any ideas?)
