What is the price on those? The nearest Best Buy is some distance, but it might be worth it if they are cheap enough. If XM or Sirius is selling them as a loss to get people to buy them, well it would be too bad for them, but good us. (Is it just me or is this is starting to sound like the I-Opener debacle?)

I saw from the "Death of WiFi" thread that you stated: "Also, their antennas are spray-painted patch antennas on the rooves of cars." Can you give a bit more detail? Size, approx gain, any connectors you might have seen, etc.
