The FAKRA connectors are specially built for the Automotive industry following FAKRA standards. FAKRA stands for Fachkreis Automobil. Which in German means automobile subject matter experts. These are available for a variety of equipment like Radio, GPS, Cellular, PCS, TV, Remote Keyless Entry, Remote Control Heating, Radar, and satellite digital audio receiver systems (SDARS). They are color and mechanically keyed to prevent cross-insertion.

Both systems have two antenna wires. A dual system antenna has the Terrestrial connector in black(A) and the Satellite connection in curry(K). XM only applications have Green(E) for Terrestrial and Violet(D) for Satellite. Sirius only sytems have natural(B) for terestrial and blue(C) for Satellite. A Z keyed connector is universal and will fit all of them.

The antennas are ACTIVE and have DC power running to them. This may mean that you cannot transmit into these antennas. However, they may be very sensitive receive antennas.
