More "No wireless card found"

I've got two laptops I'm using for NetStumbler - both Sony Vaio models. Both laptops are completely functional for normal wireless networking using the same Lucent (gold) card and WEP/Shared Key protection enabled.

The larger, bulkier laptop works with NetStumbler - I picked up about 50 access points in my city the other day without even having an external antenna.

But my smaller, slimmer laptop does not work with NetStumbler. I get the "No wireless card found" message. I can map network drives, surf the Internet, or do whatever else I'd like wirelessly - but NetStumbler doesn't think anything is there.

I've tried this with a Cisco Aironet 340 as well - same results.

Any insights as to additional troubleshooting I could do to track down this problem? Since we don't know what sort of calls Marius' program is making it's tricky to know what to do next to try and troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks, Marius, for a wonderful program!
