I'm using a rather slick Toshiba Tecra which I found from work after someone had been using it as a doorstop for around 5 years. It is a P133 with 16mb of ram, and I can tell you all envy me. It is powered by coal too, which i tow on a trailor behind my car. I have found a grand total of 0 APs mostly due to the fact that my wireless card hasn't arrived yet.
