I don't think that's something to be overly worried about - the transmitters on these cards really don't have the power to fry themselves.
The Cisco PCI cards use a 100mW AIR LMC350 in a PCI carrier and they leave one of the ports unteminated on a full time basis - and as far as I can tell that card transmits on both ports
