Every connector has loss. There is a guide out there for that too and I will post it once I find where I saved it as a favorite. :-)

SMA connectors are much smaller, work to a higher freq and have less loss per but they cost more too. N is the most commonly used ones at 2.4Ghz and are fairly easy to work with. TNC, I never have used them.

An average to use for Dbi loss could be this:
A 19" pigtail will be < .5dbi loss.

Quality LMR 400 with 50'= 3.3dBi average loss
Quality LMR 400 with 100'= 6.6dBi average loss
100' of LMR 900 is about 2.9dBi loss

Each N connector figure <.5dBi loss
