tried a couple of those. didn't work out for me. tried a small coffee can and a larger coffee can. figured the distance from the bottom (from some web page i can't remember where) and the length of the element. my lucent rangefinder still beat them. and it still beats my pringles too. although my pringles is very directional, it just doesn't get me the range i was looking for.
