You shouldn't have any problems with running and config'ing an Apple Airport basestation. There are Wintel admin controls. Basically to run in WEP 128 mode, you just need to input the correct name of the closed network.

I've installed many Airport networks, many of those are mixed PC/Mac and they all get along just fine.
