Ok. I purchased a MiG24WAVE from http://www.antennasystems.com/broadband.html

It says it's a 4.5dbi antenna, but when I connect it to my card the signal strength seems to drop considerably. Is this normal? I should mention that when I went out with it the first night I got it, I picked up AP's that I had previously never saw. Unfortunately, I still have to drive around parking lots to pick up some stuff. It would be nice to pick up everything from the street.
