I would like to use my pcmcia wireless cards(i.e. Orinoco,Cisco, Senao) with a computer (running windows XP) that doesn’t have a pcmcia slot, but it does have a USB port. I noticed a lot of pcmcia/USB converters seem to be proprietary and will only work with one type of pcmcia card(i.e. Orinoco USB client). Does anyone make a pcmcia card slot that attaches to a computer via usb, that will recognize pc cards like Cisco or Senao, or are there universal drivers available that can turn the orinoco USB client into a pcmcia slot that will read lots of different PC cards? Or is there a roundabout way of accomplishing universal pcmcia to USB (i.e. USB to PCI, then PCI to pcmcia)?
