Yes, the 8470-WD (Gold) and the 8471 (Silver) do b/g. BUT! they are based on the Atheros Chipset and do not work 100% with Netstumbler. They have a goofy delay after you lose a contact that it still shows a signal and connection for a considerable time later. Search for "two minutes" and you will find a post or two about it.

PS, I have the 8470-WD and ended up just getting the 8410-WD (Classic Gold). It may be only a B card but it works nicely in NS, and still detects G networks. Remember, Alot of "G" APs are backwards compatible to "B".
