Detecting Clients
I set up a two computer local network (IPs of 192.168.x.xx) with one of the computers serving as an AP and the other as the client. When I run NetStumbler on a third computer, I can see the access point (and the others around me), but not the client. I tried switching the client into ad-hoc mode instead of the managed mode that it was in and had it ping the other computer so that it would be sending out packets. While the ping was successful, NetStumbler still did not detect the client's transmission.
Is there any way to see clients in NetStumbler? If so, could you please tell me what I need to do in order to do so? If not, is there another product that you could recommend that does detect clients while also encorporating GPS? Thank you in advance.
