Given that you can't move the router, reflectors are probably the way to go. Simple, cheap and effective.

If a relector doesn't cut it for you, consider seperating the functions of the Router from that of the Access Point. The router can then stay near the DSL or cable modem, and the AP can be placed where it can do some good.
