Nope, no ET for me. I remembered thought that someone (Mr. White?) looked up Arecibo up. It was about 8 or 9 months ago. Ther was some newbie insisting that he could make a 100dB antenna if we'd would only give him the sizes. When we said it would be too large to be practical he become mad, and was complaining we wouldn't tell him just because he was new.
The moron couldn't or wouldn't understand that physics limit radio waves.
If Arecibo is ~70dBi, then a 100dBi dish it would be the size of that dish on the DeathStar.
Maybe ol' Darth Vader was just trying to do some intergalactic WarDriving...
