Laptop Display on PDA

Is it possible (without writing to a file + constantly checking it) to, through a script, send data from a laptop running NetStumbler to a PDA running whatever? I ask simply because when walking around and scanning, my laptop weighs 8.5 LBs, and I like to leave it in a backpack; my Pocket PC is juuuust too old to have a WLAN card of it's own (and therefore use ministumbler). I'd like to use it as basically a display screen, hooked up to the laptop through a cable. Any suggestions? Ideas? Etc.?

-- EDIT --

I can code pretty well, and I can throw on the Microsoft .NET libraries to the PPC, so I could code something on there involving sockets... I just really don't know VBScript, if anyone could show me?
