Putting APs in hotel hallway...need nice cover
Hello all:
I did a site survey yesterday morning at a hotel. 4 floors.
Only problem is floors 2, 3, & 4 don't have dropped cielings to hide the APs in. They will need to be mounted at the top of the wall in the hallway.
Therefore I will need some kind of cover to put over the APs to cover them up. I'll probably use the 2.2 dBi antenna that came with them.
I'll mount the APs flat against the wall at the top, with its 2.2 dBi antenna connected.
I'm trying to figure what kind of enclosure I can put over top the AP and its antenna, and screw that enclosure to the wall. Some kind of box opened on the one side, so that fits over the AP.
It can't impede the rf signal and not a clear box, since I don't want people to be able to look through to see whats inside.
It could have some kind of lip on it so that I could screw the box to the wall. Or I could put some kine of "L" shapped bracket that screws to the box and then screws to the wall, to hold it over the AP.
I figure there has to be some kind of nice looking box out there that looks nice esthetically in a hotel hallway.
I would imagine the box might need to be a minimum size of:
5 1/2 " wide X 11 " high X 2 " thick
Thank you for any ideas,
