What kind of values are SNR, Sig and Noise? The exported text files shows e.g.:
[ SNR Sig Noise ]
[ 43 96 53 ]

I thought Sig and Noise are dBm values. But then they should be nagative.
if I add an - and interpret the values abouve as [ 43 -96 -53 ]
Why is the Sig value smaller than Noise?

thx
1) They are similar, but are slightly different. The differences are retained for legacy purposes with other programs.

2) The values are dBm... sort of. Due to the way that the original ORiNOCO drivers worked, you need to subtract 149.

Thus [ 43 96 53 ] becomes [ -106 -53 -96 ].

For further information, please read the FAQs and search on "149".

Forbidden. Przemek_d made a crosspost. Crossposts are against the Rules, and it has been removed.
