Convert Cisco AIR-PCI352 to AIR-LMC352

Hi
I have a bunch of AIR-PCI352 (Cisco Aironet PCI 802.11b card) which is actually made up of a PCI-PCMCIA housing, a AIR-LMC352 and a external antenna.

AIR-LMC352 is essentially the same as AIR-PCM352 (PCMCIA card), except that LMC352 has no built-in antenna.

I detached the AIR-LMC352 from the housing, and wanted to use it in my notebook with the antenna. Windows XP recognized the card as a PCMCIA card, drivers loaded properly, but it was not able to associated with any AP. Looking at the status of the AIR-LMC352 with Cisco ACU, and comparing it with a AIR-PCM352 (the pcmcia version with built-in antenna), the difference is something called "Boot Block Version". LMC352 has it as "V1.50/ISA" and PCM352 has it as "V1.50"

So I began poking around to see if I can reflash the card to make it like the generic LMC352 version. I read that people were successful in converting Lucent Silver to Gold, using "flash.exe".

It now looks like I have to change the initial boot file, the PDA or the CIS. But Flash.exe was only able to read the CIS, and not the PDA.

Does anyone out there has any success in converting the PCI352 to LMC352?

thanks!!!
