WAP11 removeable as mobile ant.

I have four of the removeable WAP11 (v2.2) antennas just lying around after hooking up a couple of panels for a building-to-building solution. With the right pigtail, how would one of these work as an omni-directional?

Those antennae are about 2.2dBi.

You'll either have to get an ORiNOCO->RP-TNC female pigtail or an ORiNOCO->N male pigtail attached to an N female->RP-TNC female cable.

I suppose after adding the cable (about 5 ft.) and connectors, I probably wouldn't be much better off than just using the Orinoco built-in antenna. Would it help at all for from-the-car stumbling with a laptop on the front seat?

I thought I'd mount the other three on my car roof just to be cool....
