20 mile link - Is it possible?

Postby panda » Thu Mar 27, 2003 8:03 am

I'd like to link my home network to my office network wirelessly for internet access purposes (we don't get decent internet where we are). Is 20 miles too far? Is it possible? Any places I can look? Links? My ISP cuts off for about 5 minutes every half hour so big downloads don't work and it only works at 30k anyways. Work is above a meg a second so that would be very nice. Thanks again.

You can do it with adequate power, antenna, etc. There are many posts on this topic both here and on the net - too many to list.
