united states mint, no wep

Configuration and operational information about stumbled AP's

united states mint, no wep

Postby chuck2 » Mon Mar 10, 2003 3:23 pm

I was out stumbling yesterday, and I noticed the U.S. Mint by my way has an AP, but no wep on. My freinds father works for the mint and security is insane there, yet they leave their network open (I say open due to the fact that wep was not used, they may use other security features that I am not aware of), just my 2 cents.

Yeap, honeypot sound very sweet. You don't want to land yourself there.

Now, if only they had an external inkjet, eh? Guess, you could bring your own, bleached bills and a payer, eh?

Chuckle, honeypot for sure.

My grandfather worked for a papermill; once during our canadian terrorist crisis in the 70's, his plant was approached by our mint to handle backup paper production, he told me the security around even the sample/reference paper was a sheer nightmare.
